- Banking & Regulatory
Over three decades at the Bar, from constitutional bench matters to boardroom restructurings, Pushkar Mehrotra has built a practice where courtroom depth and commercial judgment operate as one discipline, not two.
Pushkar Mehrotra is a Senior Partner at Vardharma Law with more than 35 years of experience spanning constitutional law, civil and criminal litigation, corporate restructuring, banking and debt recovery, and regulatory matters. His practice combines extensive courtroom experience with a longstanding corporate and advisory practice, allowing him to advise clients on matters where litigation, regulation and commercial strategy intersect.
Practice
Pushkar advises corporates, financial institutions and industry bodies across a wide range of contentious, regulatory and commercial matters. His particular strength lies in matters that demand both legal depth and a practical read of the commercial context they sit within, where a purely legal answer is often not enough.
His practice spans constitutional and public law, civil and criminal litigation, corporate restructuring, banking and debt recovery, competition and regulatory matters, commercial contracts and real estate.
Career
Pushkar began his career in Kolkata, assisting Dr. Debi Prasad Pal, Senior Advocate, on company law and taxation matters. He subsequently moved to Allahabad and joined the chambers of Sri Ravi Kiran Jain, Senior Advocate, where he developed his practice in constitutional matters and public interest litigation.
Since 2004, he has practised independently before the Allahabad High Court while continuing to advise corporate and institutional clients on contentious, commercial and strategic matters.
Over the course of his career, he has represented and advised corporates, financial institutions and industry associations across complex litigation, restructuring and regulatory matters.
